BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi is the third leader of his party to pen a book while still in politics. But he insists this one is different. In what many believe that it is a veiled attack on his colleagues, L K Advani and Jaswant Singh, Joshi said he didn’t approve of politicians authoring autobiographies. Joshi’s book is coming after Advani’s high profile release of his
autobiography, My country my life.
Joshi, who has been effectively sidelined by the BJP’s top leadership said autobiographies should be written by retired politicians. In the recent past, works of other two senior BJP leaders has generated sustained political controversies.If launch of Advani’s book was a crafted mega bucks, multi city image make over attempt. Joshi is out to present himself as a man – in sync with modern science, rooted in traditional Indian values.”No my book does not need launches in many cities. Its for people to read,” he said. Vedic mantras were chanted at Joshi’s book launch and scientists also made their presence felt.
